Choose either a Monday or a Thursday for your harvest and distribution day!
Produce pick up will take place from 4-6 at the garden,
rain or shine.
CSA members will be there to help you navigate the first few weeks. Take a few minutes to enjoy your time at your farm. It is a truly beautiful place! It will take a few weeks but you will soon find pick-up day to be a nice part of your week. You are always welcome to walk about the garden and take it all in, and enjoy your time on the hill.
The PMCSA is located on NH Route 123 across from the Pitcher Mountain Farm. It is on the left side 4.1 miles from Route 9 and on the right side 3.8 miles from Route 10. Parking: Please park on the same side of the road as the garden. Route 123 is a major through way so please be very careful when getting out of your car. If you have small children you may park in the garden but be careful as it can be muddy!
Sign in sheet: The first thing to do is check your name on that day's distribution date.
Read the boards: The produce will be on the tables in baskets, and in coolers, tubs and wheelbarrows. The boards will tell you the quantity of each to take according to your share size. The boards will also list the U Picks and quantities for the week. U - Pick Produce: Some crops are highly perishable and/or are too labor intensive to harvest for everyone. These are deemed "U - Picks."
On each distribution day, a whiteboard informs shareholders of U - Pick crops for that week; they are entirely optional. Many shareholders really enjoy harvesting their vegetables, flowers and herbs. Of course, if you are unable to do your picking there are always volunteers and interns available to help you. U - Pick produce can be gathered once a week on any day.
If you are unable to pick up your vegetables: Please call Leigh at (603) 446-3922 or Catherine (201)788-8233 at least a day ahead so that your share doesn't go to waste.
Leave Out Option: To accommodate people's schedules we will again be offering this option. Your share may then be picked up after 6 PM or the next morning. Let Farmer Catherine know and she will explain the procedure.
Collecting your vegetables: It is very helpful if you bring bags to take your vegetables home in. If you have extra bring them to share with others.
Optionals Table: This is our 'Community Chest'. Feel free to leave what you do not want there in exchange for a little extra of what you really enjoy.
